Nicknames for Beer

The following is a list of cool beer cocktail recipes or if you prefer -- the nicknames for various beer type drinks.

Black and Tan - In some parts of the world this is a layered drink in others it's just a mix of a light and dark ale, stout or lager poured together at the same time.

When layered, the darker colored stout floats on top of the lighter ale. Of course, eventually the two layers mix together. A Black and Tan Spoon will help layer your beer.

Black Satin - 1 Part Champagne, 1 Part Guinness' Stout. Pour very gently into a tall glass; do not stir.

Boilermaker - Shot glass of Whisky inside a glass of beer (I've also seen it done without the shot glass -- just poured in).

Chante - Bottle of Beer and a side glass of Ginger Ale.

Chaser - Glass of Beer with a Shot of Whisky on the side.

Red Eye - Bottle of Beer with a side glass of Tomato Juice.

Rootbeer Barrel aka Rootbeer Keg - A shot glass of Rootbeer Schnappes inside a glass or mug of Beer.
