Hot Buttered Rum
- 1 1/4 oz Dark Rum
- 1 TSP. Brown Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- Place the ingredients into a warm mug and fill with boiling water. Stir well.
- Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
Notes: Don't try substituting margarine for butter, as it doesn't really taste good and it would be a "Hot Margarine Rum" then wouldn't it...
Some recipes call for 2 Teaspoons of Nutmeg, Cloves and Cinnamon to be mixed in with the sugar, butter and rum. Personally, I'd cut that to 1 TSP and add one more TSP of Brown Sugar.
This is a recipe that's kind of fun to experiment with.
