Whisky Sour #1
- 1 1/2 oz Whisky
- 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- 1 TSP Superfine Powdered Sugar
- Pour the lemon juice over the sugar in a short glass and stir until the sugar is disolved.
- Pour the lemon sugar mix into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the Whisky and shake briskly. Strain into a Whisky Sour Glass and garnish with a cherry.
Drink Note 1: Some recipes call for straining the drink and pouring over ice in a Rocks Glass.
Drink Note 2: To make this an extra fine Whisky Sour, use the best premium brand Whisky that you can find/afford.
Whisky Sour #2
- 1 oz Rye
- 2 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- Shake with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a Whisky Sour Glass. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
Drink Note 1: Once again, the finer the Rye the finer the drink is going to be.
Drink Substitution Note: This is also one of those drinks where you can substitute the Rye for Rum, Scotch, Brandy or even Gin. Of course it would then be called a Brandy Sour or Rum Sour, etc...
