Red Jelly Bean Shooter

  • 1/2 oz Anisette
  • 1/2 oz Cherry Brandy or Cherry Whisky
  • Pour into a pony glass (aka: shot glass, cordial or liqueur glass) in that order.

Green Jelly Bean Shooter

  • 1/2 oz Anisette
  • 1/2 oz Green Creme De Menthe
  • Pour into a pony glass (aka: shot glass, cordial or liqueur glass) in that order.

Notes: 1. The original recipe that I took this from called for pouring the ingredients over ice and into an Old Fashioned Glass. However, I like Jelly Bean shooters and decided to dispense with the ice and larger glass.

2. I've also seen recipes that call for Blackberry brandy; go for it; thats a nice variation too.

3. Another variation that I've seen in some bars is the use of Grenadine, Anisette and Tequila.

4. A great added touch would be to place an actual jelly bean into the shot glass.
